In the previous article I wrote briefly about content and traffic. Both are very important aspects of blogging. In order to make money you will need to have quality content in order to attract traffic. Then you have to convert that traffic into money somehow. There are many ways of doing that and we will talk more about that later.
SEO Explained
For now let me go into a little detail about SEO. What is SEO? It is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. This is the process of fine tuning your blog or website to make it search engine friendly. It will make your blog or website rank better in the search engine. Why is SEO important? Search engines are where people go to search for information. They enter in a search term and a list of the most relevant sites will come up. There are a lot of factors involved with SEO but I will touch basis on the easiest and most important optimizations you can do.
* One of the most effective and important things you can do is to get backlinks to your blog. The easiest way to do that is to comment on other blogs/forums/sites that already have high rankings in Google. When you comment it usually asks you for your site address. This is an automatic backlink to your site. You can also enter urls to relevant posts of yours in the comment. Make sure your post enhances the content you are commenting on or the blogger may moderate your link from the comment.
Here are a few other simple things you make do that will have a great effect on your search ranking:
Put Keywords in your
Keywords in your URL - Should match the title and description text. This site has "revenue" in the description.
Keywords should be mentioned in posts once and awhile.
Using Blogger will pretty much have you setup for basic SEO as Google is the one who owns the blogging platform. Just make sure the basics are covered and you should be ok for now. Remember search engine traffic is one of the most cost effective ways to get traffic to your site and the goal is to get to the top of the listing. Being ranked on the first page of Google can create huge amounts of traffic to your site.

The Six Deadly Mistake of a Sales Presentation
1. Not being prepared. - Be on time and dressed appropriately. Dress just above the level your client has. Read any information you may have on them just before you enter the appointment. This will make you look like you have an incredible memory! They will be impressed! Uptime - Any time you are in a presentation or on the phone talking to your client. Downtime - The time you spend on the road and doing paperwork or customer service work. Each sale has a certain value to it in total commissions. You can't afford to miss any of them due to being unprepared or looking unprofessional. A Professional athlete practices 10 times as much as he actually plays in a real game. You need to do the same if you want successful results.
2. Presenting without giving your prospect the opportunity to talk and ask questions. Make them feel comfortable enough to ask you questions during the presentation. Your presentation should be more of a two-way communication than a monologue. Be a consultant, not a sales person. Be thinking of what their problems or concerns are and how you can resolve them, not how you are going to make the sale (or worse yet, counting commissions!). Ask more open-ended questions, and then really listen to the answers! Video or cassette tape your presentation and phone calls if you can. This will allow you to see yourself in the eyes of the client. You will learn more by watching yourself than with all the constructive comments that anyone can give you. Don't be too harsh on yourself. Just learn and strive to get better. Don't blast the prospect with all of your knowledge. You will bore them and they will lose interest. It is much better to ask them their concerns and then shut up and listen. It's OK to take notes. They will view you more as a consultant than a sales person if you do. If you listen, people will tell you their greatest concerns in descending order. Address them in reverse, with the least first and ending in a climax of their greatest concern. Then ask for their business. Don't be surprised if you get it. You've earned it!
3. Ask for the sale with conviction! You have to believe that you have done a great job determining their needs, answering their questions, and informing them of your product's features, and how it will benefit them.
4. Never apologize for shortcomings of yourself or product. You have to exude confidence in yourself, your product, and your company. If you don't believe in it, then why should they?
5. Never interrupt a prospect, or cut their sentence off at the end. Pause 2 seconds at the end to think about it. Then carefully answer. Do this even if you have heard the question before a hundred times, and are already prepared with your answer. This will do a number of things for you. First, it will let them know that you are listening to them. People love to be respected by having others care enough to hear what they are saying. Second, it will give you time to formulate your thoughts and words to answer precisely, confidently, and professionally. Lastly, it will tell them that it was a good question and that you really thought it through before you gave your answer. As soon as prospect agrees on a point, it becomes fact for them. Reflect their statements back to them to get agreement. You will never convince someone of something that they either don't understand or have a misconception of.
6. Rambling on and on with your presentation, and not being aware of what the prospect is not telling you. Always be aware of your customer's body language and eye contact. Look them in the eye when you talk, and when they talk to you. Smile and nod when it's appropriate. Don't talk too loud, too soft, too fast or try to use college words to a simple client. Always mirror the prospect's body language, speech, rhythm, rate, and volume. Do this subtly. Remember, a tactic known is a tactic blown! If you are able to do this effectively, you will see that your rapport will grow very quickly and deeply. They will feel that you just "click".
Suggestions for success.
Create a sense of urgency by using present tense terms. Use the word "Now," 5-6 times in your presentation. Use a present tense to all benefits to make the prospect feel they are already on the plan. If they can picture themselves already owning and using the product, then it is only a formality to sign them up.
Your brain can't spell. It only hears the words (phonics) and tries to make sense of them in the context that they are used. Buy Now you may realize how the benefits of our product will help you...
You are responsible for both the sending and receiving all of the communications in the presentation. If your client doesn't understand, it is your responsibility to ensure that you explain it another way. Sometimes a story or an example will explain a concept the best.
A smile and a simple head nod will make the prospect nod back. When you are making an important point, look directly in their eyes, smile and gently nod your head. You will be amazed that they will most often do the exact same thing back to you. This works especially well when you ask them a "yes" confirming question.
Act as if it was already done. Act as if the sale is already in the bag. Program your mind to believe that your success is inevitable, you can't fail. Act as if you don't need the sale or the money. The pressure you put on yourself will exude out into your presentation, and negatively affect your prospect in pressure. The harder you push, the more they will push back.

Research Market How To
Whenever you enter a new market or want to introduce a new product, you need to do some research to find out whom best to market to.
It would almost be impossible to create a new product without some research first. If you didn't do any research, how would you know what the market is missing? How would you gauge your likely success in the marketplace? How would you know what people want and need? How would you know which marketing strategy to use - television or direct mail? Add more to your flyer printing budget or your radio ad budget? The answers to these questions can only be found by research.
You need to conduct two kinds of research: primary and secondary. You'll most likely do more secondary research than primary. Let's go into more detail about both.
Primary Research
Primary research is considered to be any type of investigation that uses you do on your own, or you hire someone else to gather the research for you.
Primary research is broken down into two types: exploratory and specific. Exploratory helps you to define a problem and generally involves unstructured interviews, like focus groups. You ask open-ended questions (non "yes or no" questions) and ask for whatever feedback comes to mind from the participants.
Specific research is used to solve a problem that has usually already been defined through exploratory research. You are asking a specific question and you want information related to that question. Interviews are more structured so you can extract the information you want from the participants.
Types of Primary Research
There are basically three ways to conduct primary research: by direct mail, phone surveys and personal interviews.
Direct mail - You can send out a postcard or letter containing a survey and ask participants to mail it back. To increase your response rate, you should make your questions short and to the point. You should also address the survey to a specific individual and don't forget to send a reminder follow-up that includes a copy of the survey two weeks after the initial mailing. And don't forget to offer a coupon or a discount to make the survey worth their while. Average response rate is below 5%.
Phone surveys - These are the most cost-effective way to conduct primary research based on speed of response and the fact that they cost about one-third less than personal interviews. To increase participation, ask to talk to a specific person and avoid long pauses, as respondent participation can quickly drop (i.e., hanging up the phone). To save even more money, plan to call people when the cheapest telephone rates are available, generally in the evening. (You can check this out with your local telephone provider, or you could go with Vonage, which offers unlimited long distance for a flat monthly fee.)
Personal interviews - You can either conduct a group interview, like a focus group, in which the group is allowed to brainstorm to come up with ideas, or you can conduct an in-depth interview with one person. When interviewing one person, you can either have a pre-set list of questions, or let the interviewee lead the interview and ask questions based on the interviewee's previous answers.
Secondary Research
Secondary research is data you refer to that someone else has gathered. This could be statistics or a list of info from government agencies, labor unions, chambers of commerce, etc. Obviously, you'll save a lot of time and money by conducting secondary research.
Types of Secondary Research
Secondary research is divided into three sources:
Public - Public sources are usually free and can offer a lot of good information. These sources include public libraries, government agencies and the like.
Commercial - Commercial sources include research and trade associations, or could be financial institutions. These sources have equally valuable info as public sources, but you must pay a fee to get the info.
Educational - Educational institutions are generally forgotten in favor of the first two sources, but can contain great info in the libraries and business sections of colleges, universities, and sometimes even high school libraries.
You'll most likely conduct secondary research over primary research just because of the time and money savings. There's nothing wrong with that! For market research, secondary research is more than sufficient.

In this article I am going to share how I make money relatively easily with very little effort. Like most people I am keen on building an additional income on top of my regular job. Successful Trading Concept
There are three things that a share trader needs to understand if he is going to make money on a consistent basis in the market. These are the concepts of prosperity, survival and mentoring.
The concept of prosperity is a mindset. You will not prosper if you have a poverty mindset. You need to believe that you have the right to prosper. You need to believe that you have the right to be a winner. You need to understand the principles of money management from a prosperity mindset and not from a poverty mindset. This may sound strange to you, but it is crucial to being a successful trader.
The reason it is necessary for you as a trader to have a prosperity mindset is unless you know how to handle large sums of money you will find yourself making decisions which will cause you to lose more money than necessary. A prosperity mindset will prevent you from entering into a losing spiral that causes you to lose everything you have made. Cuil, one new search engine to be created by former Google and IBM veterans. Pronounced "Cool," one that firm have developed new architecture and algorithm and this search engine one has indexed 120 billion Web Pages (3 times Google and 10 times Microsoft).
Cuil say he can fulfill this by searching and ranking the page base on relevance and content compared, Cuil call "superficial popularity metrics." When search engine find a page with keyword, live in page and check the content remains, its concept and inter-relationships and closely.
"The Internet has grown exponentially in the last 15 years but search engines have not kept up," the company said in a statement. "Popularity is useful, but has dominated search results so heavily that it gets harder and harder to find the page you want, especially if your search is a complex one. For a deeper search, establishing relevancy is more than a numbers game. Cuil prefers to find all the pages with your keyword or phrase and then analyze the rest of the content on those pages. During this analysis we discover that your keywords have different meanings in different contexts."
The company also said that because it analyzes Web pages and not click-throughs, the company said it doesn't know user search histories and habits.
But the comments in Matt's FriendFeed all suggest that Cuil is a poor search engine with little relevance and technical issues. Yes, Cuil had some server issues last night but they seem to be corrected as of this morning. The WebmasterWorld thread has much of the same reaction, but does take notice to the impressive nature of the management team, the new search interface and the size of the index. Overall, it seems as if SEOs are not all that impressed with the current results, but many do believe Cuil does have a shot.
